Job summary

NCS Global Technology Sdn. Bhd. in Penang is seeking a hands-on engineer to install, commission and validate new production equipment, aligning with manufacturing goals.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, work with vendors, document procedures, and drive reliability improvements while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install and commission new equipment and production lines.
• Perform machine setup and installation.
• Collaborate with vendors to procure, install and integrate tooling and equipment.
• Perform equipment qualification, validation and prepare technical reports.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Respond promptly to downtime events to minimize production interruptions.
• Conduct PLC programming and hardware interfacing troubleshooting.
• Develop preventive maintenance procedures for processes.
• Fine tune equipment parameters to improve yield.
• Design, specify and document equipment modifications.
• Support process optimization to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and changes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Job description

Install and commission new equipment and production lines.

Perform machine setup and installation.

Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure, install, and integrate tooling, fixtures, and equipment.

Perform equipment qualification, validation and prepare detailed technical reports.

Prepare detailed technical documents such as PCA, Qualification Plan, EER etc.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment issues.

Respond promptly to downtime events to minimize production interruptions.

Conduct electronic troubleshooting, including PLC programming and hardware interfacing.

Develop and document preventive maintenance procedures for assigned processes or areas.

Fine tune the equipment parameters to ensure smooth operation and improve yield.

Design, specify, manufacture, test and document equipment modifications and improvements.

Support process optimization initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

Provide feedback and recommendations for long-term equipment improvements.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment validation and technical changes.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Hands-on skills with proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Experience in the medical device field is an advantage.
