Job summary

SM ULTIMATE VENTURES ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. in Malaysia is seeking a Project Engineer with 3–5 years in EPIC automation projects to lead electrical design and integration from concept through commissioning.

You will program PLCs (Schneider, Omron), design SCADA (Citect, Vijeo Designer), produce electrical drawings and FAT/SAT procedures, and coordinate with vendors to deliver safe, high‑quality installations.

Qualifications

3–5 years of relevant experience in EPIC projects within industrial automation and electrical engineering.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Schneider, Omron) and SCADA systems (Citect, Vijeo Designer).
Proficiency in electrical design principles, drawings, and tools.
Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings and P&ID.

Responsibilities

Develop and review electrical designs, including load calculations, cable sizing, single-line diagrams, schematics, and panel layouts.
Program, configure, and troubleshoot Schneider and Omron PLCs.
Design Citect SCADA and Vijeo Designer applications.
Prepare and review Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
Develop FAT and SAT procedures and documentation.
Produce and maintain engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and P&ID documentation.
Support procurement by preparing technical specifications and evaluating vendor proposals.
Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
Lead installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical and automation systems.
Supervise manpower during installation to ensure safe, efficient execution.
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards during site execution.
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams to achieve milestones.
