Job summary

AJINORIKI MSG (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. seeks an Environmental Officer in Bestari Jaya to oversee plant maintenance, environmental compliance, and waste management across the facility. The role focuses on IETS operation, effluent discharge limits, DOE reporting, and staff training.

The position requires proactive leadership, strong technical knowledge in environmental management, waste handling, and preventive maintenance programs to ensure smooth production and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Must have strong environmental management knowledge and leadership in maintenance operations.
• Experience supervising wastewater treatment and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to train staff and implement preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operation and maintenance of the Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS).
• Ensure effluent discharge complies with Environmental Quality regulations.
• Oversee sampling and laboratory testing of effluent for key parameters.
• Manage scheduled waste handling, storage, labeling, and disposal per regulations.
• Monitor Small Sewage Treatment System (SSTS) per DOE/IWK guidelines.
• Develop and manage a PM program for machinery, utilities, and critical systems.
• Prepare and submit reports to the Department of Environment (DOE).
• Coordinate with licensed waste contractors for waste collection and treatment.
• Educate employees on waste segregation, recycling and safety procedures.
• Support OSH activities and safety compliance in manufacturing.
