Job summary

PPG in Petaling Jaya is seeking an entry‑level S&T Technical Assistant to gain hands‑on experience in color formulation and laboratory operations, reporting to the Project Manager and based onsite at the PPG PJ Plant.

Responsibilities include operating automatic and manual color spraying, weighing formulas, daily material collection, and maintaining 5S and EH&S in the lab while assisting the Colourist/Colour Chemist. An ideal starting point for a technical support career in coatings.

Qualifications

• SPM certificate or Diploma in any discipline is acceptable.
• Proficiency in standard English communication.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate automatic spraying machines to spray color panels
• Perform hand spraying of color panels
• Accurately weigh color formulas
• Collect warehouse materials on a daily basis
• Maintain 5S standards and ensure EHS compliance in the laboratory area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Colourist / Colour Chemist
