Job summary

Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician in our Engineering & Facilities team. The role involves installing, maintaining, and calibrating hotel equipment, conducting life-safety tests, and supporting disaster response planning.

You will respond to guest repair requests, manage parts inventory, and assist in training and supervising team members. A technical/vocational degree and at least two years' supervisory maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory experience of at least 2 years.
• Education requirement: Technical/Trade/Vocational degree.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters; identify and operate shut-off valves.
• Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems; complete life-safety tests.
• Assist in disaster response planning and respond to guest repair requests.
• Maintain inventory, purchase orders, and logs; coordinate with management for staff scheduling and training.
