Job summary

ResMed Inc in Senai, Johor is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the setup, qualification, and ramp-up of a new manufacturing facility. You will partner with the Production Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure operational readiness and scalable production.

You will manage a growing team of Manufacturing Process and Automation Engineers, driving continuous improvement, yield improvement, and process optimization while aligning with global engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, ideally in a fast-paced production environment.
• Proven team leadership experience (or readiness to step into a leadership role).
• Hands-on experience in factory setup, line transfer, or production ramp-up.
• Strong foundation in production engineering fundamentals (yield, process control, troubleshooting).

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup, qualification, and ramp-up of manufacturing equipment and production lines.
• Drive successful transfer of masks and glue line processes from existing sites.
• Ensure production readiness aligned with planned timelines and quality standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop a growing team of Manufacturing Process and Automation Engineers.
• Build a high-performance culture focused on ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership while developing team capability.
• Oversee day-to-day engineering support for production, including non-conformance investigations, engineering changes, first-pass yield improvements, and process optimization.
• Drive efficiency improvements to achieve aggressive ramp targets.
• Work with internal and external partners to implement automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Apply data analytics to monitor performance, generate insights, and drive decision-making.
• Lead or support productivity and operational excellence initiatives.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to leverage best practices and remove roadblocks.

• Required Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, ideally in a fast‑paced production environment
