Job summary

Roche is seeking an Engineering Manager in Malaysia to lead capability development for the team and guide them through their career journeys. You will remove roadblocks, enhance performance, and drive efficient software/service delivery in collaboration with regional and global squads.

You will manage people, align with Agile, LEAN, and ITIL practices, and ensure high morale. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in a customer support/shared services environment or equivalent.
• 2–3 years in leadership or management roles.
• Knowledge of ITIL; certification preferred.
• Agile or Scrum Master certification preferred.
• Fluent in English; additional languages desirable (Mandarin, Japanese).
• Proficient with office productivity tools including Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive feedback, coaching, and development support for team members.
• Ensure service levels and operational KPIs are met; optimize staffing and capability.
• Act as point of contact for designated sites; lead monthly service reviews and stakeholder communication.
• Participate or lead projects such as system go-lives, scope transitions, and site transitions.
• Represent Roche values, foster a healthy, inclusive culture, and support agile/LEAN/ITIL ways of working.
