Job summary

Etiqa Insurance and Takaful is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive delivery, support, and continuous enhancement of the Core Life Solutions (CLS) and Medical Cares System (MCS) platforms. The role focuses on production stability, governance, and talent development to support the company's insurance and takaful objectives.

The candidate will lead architecture, modernisation efforts, and automation programs, while ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable solutions that align with business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in software engineering and technology delivery.
• Minimum 3 years leading engineering or delivery teams with people management.
• Strong experience in Java, .NET, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, microservices.
• Experience in insurance, takaful, or financial services systems.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, governance, and vendor management.
• Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, TOGAF, Azure/AWS, or ITIL are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery, support, and continuous enhancement of CLS and MCS portfolios.
• Manage project priorities, resources, timelines, dependencies, risks, and delivery outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership on solution architecture and modernization.
• Oversee production stability, incident management, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Ensure compliance with governance, security, risk controls, and regulatory obligations.
• Drive engineering excellence through development practices, QA, release management, automation, and debt remediation.
• Lead, coach, and develop engineering teams through talent acquisition and performance management.
• Drive productivity via automation and AI-assisted engineering practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to deliver scalable solutions.
• Manage vendor relationships, project deliverables, and cross-functional engagements.
• Support portfolio planning, budget management, resource forecasting, and management reporting.
