Job summary

UEM Lestra Berhad is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to provide and manage technical inputs across renewable energy portfolios from design development through handover. You will lead civil/structural design deliverables, coordinate interfaces with electrical and mechanical teams, and ensure compliance with codes and authority requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and about 7+ years of experience in related fields.

Qualifications

• Civil/structural experience in renewable energy projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
• Familiar with local authority approval processes and permits.
• Experience managing design development and interfaces with EPC/consultants.
• Proven ability to administer consultants and construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review civil/structural design deliverables for site grading, foundations, roads, drainage, water/sewer, and buildings.
• Coordinate interfaces between civil/structural works and electrical/mechanical disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with national codes, IEC/IEEE standards, and utility requirements.
• Manage on-site construction activities, review shop drawings and ITPs, ensure IFC alignment.
• Support project management, monitor timelines, and liaise with authorities and internal teams.
