Job summary

Carrier Malaysia is seeking an engineer to provide application and system solutions for Sales Engineers in Singapore and Malaysia, enabling face time with clients and ensuring equipment requirements are met.

The role covers tender preparation, technical specifications, and sourcing, with emphasis on air conditioning knowledge and EH&S compliance; serves SEAP region with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) or equivalent.
• Knowledge in air conditioning is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides application and system solutions in design and technical support to Sales Engineers.
• Provides engineering sales support including equipment selection, technical specifications, equipment schedules and quotations to Sales Engineers.
• Supports Sales Engineers in tender and quotation preparation.
• Provides system comparison & analysis of products and technical information.
• Submits activity reports to supervisor promptly and accurately.
• Ensures compliance with Carrier EH&S Programs and Code of Ethics.
• Focuses on Commercial and Light Commercial (primary).
• Scope extended to commercial airside; coverage mainly SEAP region.

Role Purpose: Support RLC teams in Singapore and Malaysia to free up Sales Engineers to have more face time with clients/potential clients Interface with factory capability to comply with clients' equipment requirement

Role Responsibilities

• Provides application and system solution in design and technical supports to Sales Engineers
• Provides engineering sales supports including equipment selection, technical specifications, equipment's schedule and quotation to Sale Engineer
• To support Sales Engineers in preparing tender and quotation preparation.
• Provides system comparison & analyze products & technical information
• To submit the activities reports to supervisor promptly and accurately.
• Enforce, perform, support and comply CMB EH&S Programs and Carrier Code of Ethics.
• To focus on Commercial and Light Commercial (primary)
• Scope coverage extended to commercial airside.
• Support coverage mainly SEAP region

Minimum Requirements

• Possess Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) or equivalent.
• Knowledge and direct experience in air conditioning preferred
• Minimum 1 years of working experience in the related field is required.
• Possess initiative, determination and drive to implement programs and activities.
• Customer Focus, Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge in Heat Load Estimation and AutoCAD program preferred
