Job summary

ResMed is seeking a Supplier Engineer to collaborate with internal teams and external electronics suppliers. The role focuses on ensuring reliable, high-quality component supply for manufacturing, with emphasis on PCBAs and power supplies and ongoing process validation.

You will drive root-cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement, while mentoring junior engineers and supporting cross-functional initiatives in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or closely related field.
• 2+ years of functional engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent analytical and technical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Highly motivated and able to manage multiple projects at once.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for short business trips.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Supply Chain Engineering, Product Development, Planning and GSA to ensure reliable, high-quality component supply for manufacturing.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to meet quality, availability & value requirements.
• Act as the technical link between ResMed and electronics suppliers, communicating product specifications and assessing supplier capabilities.
• Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to suppliers, especially in PCBAs, power supplies and other electronics components.
• Validate supplier production processes as part of NPI, CN and SRFC.
• Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, drive root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives to improve product quality and supplier capability.
• Participate in supplier audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with quality/regulatory standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the department.

Supplier Engineering (SE) works across Resmed and our suppliers to continuously improve performance, implement process controls and develop quality assurance plans. We ensure our supply chain network consistently delivers high-quality components that meet Resmed's specifications, volume demands, and delivery timeline.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Supply Chain Engineering, Product Development, Planning and GSA to ensure reliable, high-quality components supply is available for manufacturing.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to meet quality, availability & value requirements.
• Act as the technical link between Resmed and our electronics suppliers, clearly communicating product specifications and assessing supplier capabilities.
• Provide hands‑on technical support and guidance to our suppliers, particularly in areas such as manufacturing of PCBAs, Power Supplies, and other electronic components.
• Validate Supplier Production Processes as part of New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change Note (CN) and Supplier Change Requests (SRFC).
• Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, driving root cause analysis, managing corrective actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement.
• Lead or contribute to cross‑functional initiatives to improve product quality and supplier capability.
• Where required, participate in supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Where appropriate, provide mentorship to junior engineers and support departmental knowledge sharing.

Qualifications and Experience

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely related field
• 2+ years of functional engineering experience within a manufacturing environment as a Manufacturing, Process, Quality or Industrial Engineer.
• Excellent analytical and technical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Highly motivated and able to manage multiple projects at once.
• Willingness to travel within and outside of country of residency for short business‑purpose trips
• undefinedExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) for effective communication with all levels of organization. Demonstrated ability to work well with cross‑functional departments and stakeholders in a proactive and constructive manner.

Preferred

• Experience in PCBA (PCB Assembly) and power supply manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of applying GD&T and geometrical drawing convention
• Experience in operating within highly regulated industry - preferably medical devices.
• Knowledge in requirements of relevant international standards such as ISO standards, IEC standards, FDA requirements etc
• Proficiency in use of relevant Quality Tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, APQP, or Kepner‑Tregoe methodologies.
• Proficiency in use of relevant Statistical tools such as SPC, Gage R&R, Minitab or JMP.
• Project management skills and experience in leading cross‑functional improvement initiatives.
• Skills in effective Supplier engagement & negotiation.
