Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Penang, Malaysia is hiring a Product Development Engineer 1 to drive SSD development and support high-volume manufacturing. You will engage in failure analyses and coordinate across departments to resolve SSD-related issues.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering, with SSD experience considered advantageous, and programming skills in C, C++, Python, and Perl. AI adoption experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Masters in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Experience in SSD industry is a plus.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and Perl; familiarity with AI adoption tools like Claude or Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Involved in product development and supporting high-volume SSD manufacturing.
• Support SSD failure analysis from NPI to HVM stages.
• Perform manufacturing yield evaluation and data analysis.
• Conduct electrical and physical failure analysis and coordinate with other departments to resolve SSD issues.
• Troubleshoot failures from customer returns and provide effective solutions.
