Job summary

Silterra Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kedah is seeking an Engineer / Senior Engineer IT - Network & Telecommunication to provide 24x7 response and support for network and telecommunications, with on-call or onsite coverage after office hours.

You will maintain and monitor network and telecommunication systems, implement security measures, and coordinate with the information security team to prevent downtime and comply with corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco network management and WAN support.
• Proficient in firewall management and network security.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and wireless management.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations to maintain network systems and monitor performance.
• Support day-to-day operations to maintain telecommunication systems and user requests.
• Provide Project Management, Change Management, and Network Security Management.
• Enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures.
• Setup & configure network systems (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
• Setup & configure telecommunication systems (IPPABX, IP Phone, MLS, ISDN & PRI, Zoom/Teams).
• Resolve issues proactively to prevent downtime or security breaches, coordinating with the team.
• Collaborate with information security to comply with policy and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date network diagrams and documentation.

Job description

Engineer / Senior Engineer IT - NETWORK & TELECOMMUNICATION role providing 24 hours x 7 days response and support related to network and telecommunication. Standby for on-call or onsite support after office hours.

Key responsibilities

Support day-to-day operations to maintain network systems, maintenance, monitor network performance & user request

Support day-to-day operations to maintain telecommunication system, maintenance, support & user request

Provide Project Management, Change Management, Network Security Management (physical and logical) and Operations Support Management

Enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures

Setup & configure network systems, including Network cabling, CIMBOX, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, IP Address management, Switch, Router, Wireless, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and firewalls

Setup & configure telecommunication systems, including IPPABX, IP Phone, Cordless phone, MLS, ISDN & PRI lines, Zoom & Microsoft Team video & audio conference systems

Resolve any issues that arise, and proactively addressing them to prevent downtime or security breaches, working closely with other team members when needed

Work closely with the information security team to implement information security policies and procedures to comply with company policy, regulatory requirements, and industry standards

Maintain up to date all network-related diagrams and documentation

About you

Experiences/knowledgeable in Cisco network management skills

Experience in Wide Area network support

Experiences in Firewall management

Knowledge and experience in Wireless Management

Knowledge in DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP

Experience in network security support

With 2-3 years working experiences

Good analytical skills

Team Work
