Job summary

Hartalega is seeking a fresh Industrial Engineering graduate to join our manufacturing team in Malaysia. You will learn and apply IE methods, Lean concepts, 5S, and Kaizen to improve methods and output. Under supervision, you will conduct time studies, collect data, and document standard work while collaborating with peers to meet deadlines.

The role offers hands-on exposure to Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD, with mentoring and growth opportunities in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in IE/Manufacturing/Mechanical fields.
• Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Entry-level exposure to Industrial Engineering and Lean concepts.
• Basic knowledge of IE principles, Lean fundamentals, and analytics.
• Familiar with Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD functions.

Job Scope

• Apply IE principles, including time study, speed modelling, process documentation, and productivity metrics, to improve work methods and output performance.
• Utilize Lean fundamentals such as 5S, waste elimination, visual management, and Kaizen rules to strengthen operational discipline and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct basic time studies and speed modelling under supervision using Lean concepts.
• Collect operational data and document process information for standard work development.
• Perform 5S audits and execute basic workplace improvement activities.
• Use Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, charts, formulas), PowerPoint, and basic AutoCAD tools to complete assigned tasks.
• Collaborate with team members and follow operational guidance to deliver tasks on time.
• Execute additional tasks or project activities assigned by the Superior or Management.

Qualification and Experience

• 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2. Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• 3. Entry-level exposure to Industrial Engineering and Lean Manufacturing concepts, including process documentation and basic technical practices.
