Job summary

GUH Circuit Industry (PG) Sdn. Bhd. in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking a Production Engineer to drive process capability, analyze data, and ensure product quality.

The role involves creating and maintaining production documentation, troubleshooting processes, and supporting new product introductions. Ideal candidates are fresh graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Electrical Engineering or Science, proficient in MS Office and MS Excel, and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate process capability and monitor, collect, and analyze process data to ensure stability and product quality.
• Develop and maintain production documentation, including Work Instructions, Control Plans, FMEA, and other process documents.
• Study, troubleshoot, and improve processes to address abnormalities, identify root causes, and prevent defects.
• Conduct R&D on new products, processes, and materials within the assigned section.
• Conduct process parameter and material studies to optimize performance and meet reliability requirements.
• Prepare, review, and maintain PAS.
• Identify potential product and process failures and analyze their causes and effects to prevent recurrence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).
• Improve and monitor production line capacity, productivity, quality, and overall performance.
• Ensure compliance with 5S, safety, and production standards.
• Develop and implement improvement plans to enhance processes, machinery performance, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot production process and machinery issues; liaise with vendors as necessary.
• Assist the Department Head in monitoring production performance and achieving departmental objectives.
• Provide continuous training, guidance, and mentoring to subordinates.

Job description

Study, troubleshoot, and improve processes to address abnormalities, identify root causes, and prevent product defects.

Conduct process parameter and material combination studies to optimize performance and meet product reliability requirements.

Prepare, review, and maintain Process Approval Sheets (PAS).

Identify potential product and process failures and analyze their causes and effects to prevent recurrence.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).

PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Improve and monitor production line capacity, productivity, quality, and overall performance.

Ensure compliance with 5S, safety requirements, and established production standards.

Develop and implement improvement plans to enhance production processes, machinery performance, and operational efficiency.

Troubleshoot production process and machinery issues, implement effective solutions, and liaise with vendors when necessary.

Assist the Department Head in monitoring production performance and achieving departmental objectives.

Provide continuous training, guidance, and mentoring to subordinates to improve their technical knowledge, skills, discipline, and performance.

Promote continuous improvement initiatives and present recommendations to management on technology, processes, machinery, methodologies, and industry best practices.

Review, develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

REQUIREMENTS:

Fresh graduates with no experience are encourage to apply

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering/Eelctrical Engineering/ Science or equivalent

Required Skill(s): MS Office, MS Excel

Willing to learn & take initiative

Proficiency in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia . Proficiency in Japanese language will be an added advantage

Able to work independently or in team

Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang
