Job summary

Sime Darby Industrial Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a skilled technician to troubleshoot, repair, commission, and load test engines and generator sets. You will perform diagnostic assessments, select parts, and conduct hands-on maintenance with tools and electronic controls.

You will communicate findings to senior technicians, complete accurate service documentation, and ensure equipment readiness before delivery.

Qualifications

Proven ability to troubleshoot engines or generator sets.
Basic knowledge of engine and generator maintenance and repair.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting, repair, commissioning, and load testing of engines and generator sets per procedures and safety standards.
Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify faults and determine corrective actions.
Execute hands-on maintenance using hand tools, power tools, and electronic controls.
Assess job requirements and select parts, tools, and materials needed.
Communicate findings and repair requirements to Senior Technicians and Service Seniors.
Complete service documentation accurately and timely, including SIMS reports and parts returns.
Load/unload engines and related equipment in compliance with SQM and safety rules.
Prepare engines and generator sets prior to delivery to ensure readiness.
Stay updated with developments in tools, technologies, and best practices.
Perform service work at workshops, customer sites, and other locations as required.
