Ideas International Penang is seeking an engaging and committed Secondary Science Teacher to join our school community. Experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum and preparing students for Cambridge IGCSE Science examinations would be an advantage.

We are looking for a teacher who combines strong subject knowledge with an inclusive, student-centred approach, helping learners of different abilities develop scientific understanding, curiosity and confidence.

• Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons and adapt teaching for a range of abilities.

Mansioni

• Plan and teach engaging, appropriately challenging Science lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and relevant syllabus requirements.
• Develop students' scientific knowledge, enquiry skills, critical thinking and ability to interpret evidence and data.
• Use demonstrations and practical investigations, where appropriate, with clear attention to safety, supervision and the responsible use of equipment.
• Adapt teaching to support students with different abilities, levels of English proficiency and learning needs.
• Use questioning, assessment and constructive feedback to check understanding, address misconceptions and guide students' next steps.
• Prepare students for school assessments and, where assigned, Cambridge IGCSE examinations, including relevant examination and practical skills.
• Monitor progress, maintain accurate records and communicate constructively with students and parents.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment design and the development of shared teaching resources.
• Establish a positive classroom environment with clear expectations, supportive relationships and a commitment to student wellbeing.
• Participate in professional development, collaborative planning, pastoral responsibilities and the wider life of the school.
