Job summary

Air Liquide is seeking an Energy Management Specialist in Kuala Lumpur to manage risk, optimize performance, and govern high-value energy sourcing. You will bridge data analytics, financial control, and digital tool implementation while collaborating with Front Office, local Finance, and the End-to-End Optimization Team in KL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering/Business or related technical analytical.
• 5+ years experience in energy market or ASU/HYCO operational experience / LI business experience (contract, business model...)
• Demonstration of determination and perseverance to challenges.
• Keen interest to invent and optimize complex sourcing schemes and analytical skillsets to design visualization tools.
• Project leadership to lead digital projects from idea generation to realization.
• Willingness to learn from the market as Energy Transition provides new ideas.

Responsibilities

• Monitor energy risk and performance across end-to-end index balances and hedging strategies.
• Handle middle & back-office tasks including invoice checks and index administration.
• Support monthly reporting, forecasting and reforecasting with local Finance teams.
• Act as data enabler for End-to-End Optimization Team, deriving insights from complex data.
• Drive digitalization and emissions governance to support Energy Transition initiatives.
