Job summary

Robin Lynn & Lee (in collaboration with DFDL) seeks a driven Associate with 2–3 years PQE to join its Energy, Natural Resources & Infrastructure practice in Kuala Lumpur. You will advise on energy and infrastructure transactions for developers, sponsors, lenders and government counterparties, focusing on renewable energy, power and projects.

The role offers full-time permanent employment with exposure to a growing practice and diverse clients in a fast-developing sector.

Qualifications

Law degree (LLB) from a reputable school and admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaysia.
2–3 years PQE in projects, energy, natural resources and infrastructure.
Experience in renewable energy, power or infrastructure transactions is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Advising on the full lifecycle of energy and infrastructure projects from structuring to operation.
Liaising with government authorities and regulators on regulatory matters.
Conducting due diligence and advising on risk allocation in project transactions.
Assist with structuring and execution of project finance transactions with lenders.
Advice on corporate and commercial arrangements between project participants, including JVs and off-take agreements.
Handle land and real property matters related to project development.
Supervise matters, liaise with Partners and Senior Associates, and support fee proposals and invoicing.
Engage with clients, project developers, government authorities, financial institutions and stakeholders.
Participate in business development, seminars, articles and firm events.
