Job summary

Kingfisher HR Solutions Group seeks a Registered Energy Engineer Type 2 - Assistant Manager to lead energy management, EMS deployment, and regulatory compliance across large-scale facilities in Genting Highlands. The role focuses on data analytics, reporting, and driving energy efficiency initiatives within hospitality and property environments.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, a valid Type 2 REM certification, and at least 5 years in energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Must possess valid Registered Energy Manager Type 2 certification (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in energy management or facilities operations.
• Experience in large-scale facilities, hospitality, or integrated property environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of EMS implementation, energy audits, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyse, and interpret data on energy consumption across buildings and facilities.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Energy Management System (EMS) per guidelines.
• Ensure monitoring and continuous improvement of EMS across all sites.
• Prepare energy efficiency reports with consumption analysis and recommendations.
• Ensure accuracy of energy reporting submitted to the Commission.
• Identify energy-saving measures and oversee implementation across facilities.
• Coordinate and support energy auditors during energy audit exercises.
• Apply and manage energy intensity labels for buildings per efficiency ratings.
• Monitor building energy performance to align with standards and regulations.
• Carry out additional duties related to energy efficiency as required.

About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Energy Engineer Type 2 - Assistant Manager to support energy management, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory compliance across large-scale facilities operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyse, and interpret data on energy consumption across buildings and operational facilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Energy Management System (EMS) in compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Ensure effective monitoring and continuous improvement of EMS implementation across all sites
• Prepare detailed energy efficiency and conservation reports, including consumption analysis and improvement recommendations
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of all energy reporting submitted to the Commission
• Identify and recommend energy‑saving measures and oversee implementation across facilities
• Coordinate and support registered energy auditors during energy audit exercises and follow up on findings
• Apply and manage energy intensity labels for buildings and ensure compliance with prescribed efficiency ratings
• Monitor building energy performance and ensure alignment with energy efficiency standards and regulatory requirements
• Carry out additional duties related to energy efficiency and sustainability as required by the Commission

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
• Must possess valid Registered Energy Manager Type 2 certification (Suruhanjaya Tenaga)
• Strong knowledge of thermal systems, HVAC systems, and building energy performance
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in energy management, building services, or facilities operations
• Experience in large-scale facilities, hospitality, or integrated property environments is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of EMS implementation, energy audits, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and strong in reporting and data interpretation
