Job summary

Regent Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Director of Banquet Operations to lead our banquet and events teams, ensuring flawless execution from first enquiry to final farewell. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on leadership within luxury hospitality.

The Director will oversee budgets, drive revenue through efficient operations and upselling, and mentor a high-performing team to deliver Regent's signature service at every event.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field.
• 6–8 years' experience in banquet or events operations, including at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally within luxury or upscale hospitality.
• Fluent English required; other languages an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate the Banquet team to achieve operational excellence
• Manage labour costs, operating expenses, and departmental budgets
• Meet with event organisers and VIP guests to ensure expectations are met
• Ensure event setups comply with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), Regent standards, and guest requirements
• Oversee the daily operation of all banquet functions, meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events
• Conduct pre-function briefings and post-event reviews with the team
