Job summary

TOSHIBA ELEVATOR (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Storekeeper to receive, inspect, store and issue elevator parts at its Johor Bahru facility. You will maintain accurate stock records, perform regular counts, and coordinate with Purchasing to ensure availability of parts.

This role emphasizes meticulous inventory control, safe storage, and compliance with company procedures. Prior experience in warehouse operations and basic clerical duties is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify incoming elevator and escalator components, spare parts, materials and equipment against delivery documents and purchase orders.
• Properly store, arrange and maintain elevator and escalator parts in the designated storage areas.
• Ensure all components and spare parts are properly labelled, identified and stored systematically for easy retrieval.
• Issue and release parts and materials to technicians, service teams and relevant departments based on approved requests.
• Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, stock issues, transfers and balances in the Company's inventory system.
• Monitor stock levels and highlight low-stock, fast-moving or critical spare parts to the immediate superior.
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist in monthly, quarterly and annual stock take activities.
• Investigate and report any discrepancies, damaged, missing or obsolete parts to the immediate superior.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of components to prevent damage, deterioration, loss or misplacement.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and other relevant departments regarding the availability and requirements of elevator and escalator parts.
• Prepare and maintain relevant store documents, inventory records, delivery orders, goods received notes and parts issuance records.
• Keep the store area clean, organised and safe and ensure proper housekeeping practices are followed.
• Assist in the identification and segregation of obsolete, defective, damaged or returned parts for further action.
• Ensure all store activities comply with Company procedures, safety requirements and inventory control practices.
• Perform general clerical and administrative duties related to store operations.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
