Job summary

Cape EMS Berhad, headquartered in Senai, Johor, is a leading EMS provider in Malaysia. This role involves in-process and final inspections on PCBA, sub-assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.

The successful candidate will follow approved procedures, record results, identify non-conformities, and support line clearance, sampling, and rework verification in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Able to read, write and follow instructions.
• Careful, observant and detail-oriented.
• Experience in QA/QC, electronics, EMS or manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on PCBA, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
• Conduct inspections according to approved procedures, work instructions, drawings, samples and customer specifications.
• Check workmanship and product condition for soldering, component, assembly, cosmetic, labeling and packaging defects.
• Use approved inspection and measuring tools to verify dimensions and other quality characteristics.
• Record inspection results, defects, quantities, and dispositions accurately for traceability.
• Identify, label, segregate, and report non-conforming products to QA Supervisor or QA Engineer.
• Support line clearance, first-piece inspections, sampling inspections, rework verification and re-inspection activities.
• Communicate inspection findings promptly to Production, Engineering, and other relevant teams.
• Participate in quality improvement, defect containment, sorting and verification activities.
