Job summary

Inter Island Group – Kampong Tampoi, Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a Product Technician to join the Product Engineering team. The role supports project start-ups, engineering changes, manufacturing processes and material studies, and investigates engineering issues.

Fresh graduates with an electronics background are welcome, and PCBA debugging experience is highly preferred. Strong troubleshooting and teamwork are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• PCBA debugging experience is highly preferred.
• Fresh graduates with electronics background are welcome.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work effectively with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Support new project start-up and engineering change implementation.
• Assist with manufacturing process and material studies and DOE.
• Investigate engineering issues and support problem-solving activities.
• Provide technical support for alternative part sourcing.
• Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation including BOM, work instructions, FMEA, process flowcharts, specifications and drawings.
• Support manufacturing requirements such as cycle time, UPH, line setup, manpower, testing and tools.
• Support process and tool validation activities.
• Ensure compliance with company information security, quality, environmental and regulatory requirements.
