Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN MINDE GROUP SDN. BHD. in Penang seeks a Buyer / Purchaser to support its EMS manufacturing team.

You will manage purchasing of materials and components, review MRP, and place orders to meet production demand while coordinating with suppliers on delivery, pricing and lead times. Ideal candidates have experience in electronics manufacturing and ERP/MRP systems. The role offers up to RM10,000 monthly, with a 13th month and a performance bonus; notice-period buyout is available for

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Procurement or related discipline.
Experience in buying, purchasing, procurement, sourcing or material procurement within manufacturing environment.
Experience in EMS/electronics or related manufacturing industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage purchasing of materials and components according to manufacturing and customer requirements.
Review MRP and material requirements and place purchase orders according to production demand.
Manage supplier commitments covering delivery, lead time, pricing and material availability.
Follow up and expedite critical materials to prevent or minimize production shortages.
Identify potential supply risks, delivery delays and material constraints and take appropriate action.
Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, MOQ, lead time and commercial terms.
Monitor supplier delivery and performance and resolve supply-related issues.
Work closely with Planning, Production, Warehouse and other supply chain functions to ensure material readiness.
Monitor inventory requirements and support reduction of excess and slow-moving materials.
Support cost reduction, alternative sourcing and supplier improvement activities.
Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier and material information within the ERP/MRP system.
