Job summary

Hyosung Corporation is seeking a Supervising Engineer or Supervisor for GIS and Transformer erection and maintenance, with preference for electrical/mechanical engineering graduates. The role requires experience in erection/commissioning at high voltages (>132 kV) and a willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.

Strong English communication and coordination with main contractors are essential. Reporting on MS, SIR and daily work logs is expected, along with overseeing SATs and PQA/EOW

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience in Erection and Commissioning (above 132 kV) preferred.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Supervising Engineer or Supervisor for Erection & Maintenance work of GIS & Transformer.
• Supervising erection work for GIS & TR including control cable laying, merging & termination.
• Supervising SAT at the site for GIS & Transformer, including Hi-pot & PD tests.
• Reporting on Method of Statement, Site Inspection Report & Daily Work Report.
• Manage handover for GIS & TR after SAT to the end client.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervising Engineer or Supervisor for Erection & Maintenance work of Gas Insulated Switchgear & Transformer

Bachelor's Degree Preferred (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering)

Working experience in Erection and Commissioning (above 132 kV) preferred

Ability and willingness to travel (up to 90% of the time)

Proficiency in both written and spoken English

Working experience as an OEM Supervisor of Gas-insulated Switchgear (Above 132kV) preferred

Good communication skills with TNB & the Main Contractor to handle the project at the site

Supervising erection work for GIS & TR includes control cable laying, merging & termination

Supervising Site Acceptance Test (SAT) at the site for GIS & Transformer, including Hi-pot & PD test

Supervising PQA, Commissioning & EOW at the site for GIS & Transformer

Required reporting skills on Method of Statement, Site Inspection Report & Daily Work Report

Managing of handing over for GIS & TR, including special tools, after completion of SAT to the end client
