Job summary

Turner & Townsend Malaysia is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of a mission-critical facility, from design review through commissioning, ensuring technical excellence and compliance.

You will coordinate with electrical contractors, consultants and vendors, monitor schedules and budgets, review drawings and method statements, and drive risk management and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of electrical project management experience in manufacturing, industrial, or plant settings.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, switchgear, lighting, earthing, and industrial installations.
• Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Familiarity with Malaysian electrical regulations and authority submissions.
• Proficient in project management tools and documentation.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end electrical project execution from design review to commissioning.
• Oversee electrical contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure scope, quality, and safety.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, method statements, and shop drawings.
• Plan and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with local authorities, codes, and standards (e.g. Suruhanjaya Tenaga, IEC, MS).
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, process, and EHS teams for seamless delivery.
• Conduct site inspections, progress meetings, and risk assessments.
• Manage testing, commissioning and handover documentation.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, technical issues, and delays.
• Prepare regular project status reports for stakeholders.
