Job summary

Turner & Townsend is recruiting an Electrical Project Manager to lead end-to-end electrical project execution for a data center. You will oversee engineers, contractors and vendors, review drawings and specifications, and ensure safety, quality and timely delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and 7–10 years of experience in electrical project management within industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, power distribution, switchgear, lighting, earthing, and industrial electrical installations.

Job Description

• Manage end-to-end electrical project execution for a mission-critical facility, from design review to commissioning.


• Oversee electrical contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure compliance with project scope, quality, and safety standards.


• Review electrical drawings, specifications, method statements, and shop drawings.


• Plan and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.


• Ensure compliance with local authorities, codes, and standards (e.g. Suruhanjaya Tenaga, IEC, MS standards).


• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, process, and EHS teams to ensure seamless project delivery.


• Conduct site inspections, progress meetings, and risk assessments.


• Manage testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.


• Identify and mitigate project risks, technical issues, and delays.


• Prepare regular project status reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.


• Minimum7–10 yearsof experience in electrical project management, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, or plant construction environments.


• Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, power distribution, switchgear, lighting, earthing, and industrial electrical installations.


• Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary site teams.


• Familiarity with Malaysian electrical regulations and authority submissions.


• Proficient in project management tools and documentation.


• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
