Job summary

Lam Soon Edible Oils Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead maintenance activity planning for optimum machine uptime and reliability. You will supervise technicians, troubleshoot electrical systems, and implement preventive maintenance programs.

The role requires PLC and SCADA experience, knowledge of GMP/HACCP standards, and the ability to coordinate across production, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant certifications.
• Training in PLC and SCADA systems (Siemens/AB/Panasonic/Beckhoff).
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and electrical safety practices in food plants.
• Able to work independently, under pressure, and respond swiftly to plant emergencies.
• Electrical Chargeman AO/BO certificate is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team for electrical systems and machine uptime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration schedules.
• Troubleshoot PLC/SCADA and electrical faults; implement CAPAs.
• Maintain electrical drawings, single line diagrams, and histories.
• Coordinate with production, mechanical and utility teams.
