Job summary

Top Glove Corporation Berhad is seeking an Electrical & Instrumental Engineer for our petrochemical-oriented projects in Malaysia. The role involves supervising installation, leading commissioning, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.

You will design and interpret electrical and instrumentation diagrams and manage project documentation. The ideal candidate holds a degree (or master’s) in Electrical or Automation Engineering, with 3–5 years of HV/LV experience and exposure

Qualifications

Degree or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
3–5 years hands-on electrical engineering experience, including HV/LV systems.
Experience in petrochemical/oil & gas preferred.
Willingness to relocate to Banting and operate on shift as required.

Responsibilities

Supervise installation of electrical equipment, instrumentation and control systems to meet design specs.
Lead commissioning activities and testing for proper functionality before start-up.
Create and interpret electrical/instrumentation drawings, specs and diagrams.
Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of electrical systems and instruments.
Ensure systems comply with standards, regulations and safety protocols (hazardous areas).
Implement DCS/PLC/SCADA strategies to improve efficiency and reliability.
Manage electrical/instrumentation aspects of new projects within budget and schedule.
Prepare technical reports, progress updates and budget forecasts.
Provide technical support to plant operations.
