Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a cost management and tendering specialist for electrical infrastructure projects. The role focuses on driving accurate cost management and tendering strategies for complex electrical infrastructure projects.

You will conduct quantity take-offs, evaluate vendor quotes, and prepare tender documentation to support client submissions. The position involves collaborating with project teams to ensure cost controls and budget alignment through execution.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Cost estimation or technical pricing within the mechanical and electrical construction sector.
• Working knowledge of high-voltage distribution networks, building automation, and low-voltage systems.
• Familiarity with local engineering codes, standard building regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD alongside advanced spreadsheet capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive quantity take-offs and create precise cost estimations for high and low voltage electrical systems.
• Evaluate vendor quotes, subcontractor proposals, and technical specifications to ensure commercial competitiveness.
• Prepare complete tender documentation, technical proposals, and presentation packages for client submissions.
• Participate in site briefings and technical reviews to identify project risks and cost considerations.
• Partner with project management teams to maintain accurate cost controls and budget alignment throughout the execution phase.
