Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Engineer (11kV Chargeman) to ensure safe operation and reliable power distribution within the facility. You will design, test, and maintain LV electrical systems, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to keep critical utilities uninterrupted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design or field operations.
• Strong knowledge of local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Chargeman Certificate issued by Energy Commission.
• Strong knowledge in LV electrical systems, power distribution, and electrical protection.
• Transformer operations, generator synchronization and electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and components using CAD software.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment on-site.
• Diagnose technical issues and implement effective troubleshooting solutions.
• Ensure all engineering tasks comply with safety codes and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and mechanical teams.
• Prepare maintenance checklists and service reports.
• Monitor equipment condition and identify early signs of deterioration.
