Job summary

AGRO SNOW SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and reliability across the factory. The role collaborates with Production, Maintenance and OEM suppliers during plant commissioning and ongoing operations, ensuring safe, efficient electrical systems and timely issue resolution.

Candidates should have a strong background in motors, MCCs, switchgear and VFDs, and be capable of reading SLDs and control

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial electrical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Experience reading SLDs, electrical drawings and control circuits.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning, inspection and testing of factory electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment including motors, MCCs, switchgear and VFDs.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Coordinate with electrical contractors and OEM engineers.

Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for electrical commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and reliability of electrical equipment and systems throughout the factory.

The position will work closely with Production, Maintenance, OEM suppliers and contractors during plant commissioning and subsequent production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Support commissioning, inspection and testing of factory electrical systems.

Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment including:

Motors

MCCs

Switchgear

VFDs

Sensors

Electrical panels

Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.

Monitor electrical equipment condition and reliability.

Review electrical installation work and technical documentation.

Read and interpret:

Single Line Diagrams

Control drawings

Coordinate with electrical contractors and OEM engineers.

Support PLC/control-system troubleshooting together with Automation/OEM teams.

Perform root-cause analysis for electrical failures.

Plan electrical shutdown and preventive-maintenance work.

Identify and manage critical electrical spare parts.

Provide technical guidance to Electrical Technicians.

Maintain electrical inspection and maintenance records.

Ensure all electrical work complies with company safety requirements and applicable regulations.

Support emergency breakdown troubleshooting when required.

Participate in equipment improvement and energy-efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial electrical experience.

Strong experience with motors, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs and industrial electrical systems.

Manufacturing or process-plant experience is preferred.

Experience in plant commissioning and factory start-up is highly desirable.

Able to read and understand SLDs, electrical drawings and control circuits.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

Experience supervising technicians and electrical contractors.

Familiarity with PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment is an advantage.

Good communication and coordination skills.
