Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Diploma/ Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer to supervise installation of LV/MV systems and related works on-site in Malaysia. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, with knowledge of LV/MV systems and protection advantageous.

You will read drawings, coordinate with civil, mechanical, and fire protection teams, and support testing, safety and documentation efforts. Role requires on-site work and travel as needed; Mandarin ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems and protection systems.
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Solar PV knowledge/experience is an added advantage.
• BEM registration is an advantage.
• Good problem-solving, communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to work on-site and travel when required.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation works including LV/MV systems, cable routing, panels, lighting and earthing.
• Perform load calculations, cable sizing, protection coordination and system studies.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and other disciplines including civil, mechanical and fire protection.
• Monitor project progress, quality and compliance with project schedules.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical support.
• Perform testing & commissioning and electrical testing including insulation resistance, continuity and relay testing.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and system issues.
• Ensure works comply with applicable safety requirements and industry standards.
• Maintain project documentation, drawings, test results and reports.
• Provide project progress updates to Management.
