Job summary

SGS is the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company. We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our consumer safety laboratory in Malaysia, to ensure ISO17025 accreditation is maintained and to lead consumer product safety testing projects in electrical and electronics.

You will liaise with clients on test results, lead safety projects as project engineer or reviewer, and provide training to clients and staff while upholding our HSE standards and integrity.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable in laboratory quality management system, ISO17025.
• Experience in leading a team of consumer safety laboratory will be considered for managerial position.
• Fresh graduates with relevant studies are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Operate consumer safety laboratory based on the ISO17025 requirements and maintain the accreditation in providing consumer products safety testing, particularly in electrical and electronics.
• Ensure projects being completed according to the commitments to clients.
• Liaise with client on laboratory test result and justification.
• Work on safety projects as project engineer or reviewer.
• Get qualification as approve technical reviewer.
• Provide technical training to clients.
• Provide internal training to other staffs as needs.
• Work on projects as assigned by the management.
• Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.
• Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your reporting manager and/or Senior Management
