Job summary

OMS Group is seeking a Design Engineer (Electrical) to support the engineering design of Cable Landing Stations (CLS) for international submarine cable systems and high-capacity terrestrial networks. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical design for mission-critical infrastructure, data centres, telecom facilities, industrial buildings, or similar environments.
• Knowledge of building services including HVAC, power distribution, UPS, generators, grounding, and fire protection.
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary engineering coordination and design documentation.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, ETAP or similar tools.
• Good communication and coordination skills with consultants, vendors, and project teams.
• Ability to support design from concept through construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering design of Cable Landing Stations (CLS) for submarine cable and terrestrial backhaul systems.
• Prepare and review mechanical and electrical designs, including power distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC, grounding, lighting, fire protection, and other building services.
• Assist in developing technical specifications, calculations, drawings, and design documentation.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, telecom, and other engineering disciplines for system integration.
• Participate in feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations for new landing station developments.
• Review drawings, vendor submissions, and technical documentation for project requirements.
• Support design coordination during construction and commissioning, including FAT/SAT activities and issue resolution.
• Ensure designs comply with international standards, local regulations, and QHSE requirements.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and revision control throughout the project lifecycle.
