Job summary

Sinar Tenaga M&E Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to execute and manage projects in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Building Services (MEP). The role is based in Selangor and entails coordinating tasks, preparing detailed documentation, and driving project milestones with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate holds tertiary education in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, Navisworks Freedom) and solid problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• Tertiary education in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline or 10 years and above of related experience or training.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., MS Office, MS Excel, etc.).
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Proficiency in Navisworks Freedom software.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction milestones.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist managers in coordinating and implementing project tasks.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including catalogues and material submissions, cable lists and termination diagrams, shop drawings and technical specifications.
• Attend and participate in meetings with stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Coordinate with drafters, suppliers, clients, local authorities, and contractors to meet project requirements.
• Perform material planning and procurement activities, including taking off project quantities and obtaining quotations.
