Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Electrical Construction Manager in KL/Selangor to lead electrical activities on large-scale projects. You will supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and handover, while coordinating with CSA, Mechanical, and Commissioning teams to ensure seamless execution.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in electrical construction management and proven experience delivering Industrial, Data Centre or High-Tech projects, with strong contractor and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical construction management on large-scale projects.
• Proven experience delivering Industrial, Semiconductor, Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, or High-Tech Facility projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all electrical construction activities from installation through testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Oversee contractor performance, productivity, quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
• Coordinate electrical works with CSA, Mechanical, Process, and Commissioning teams for seamless project execution.
• Review construction methodologies, work packages, method statements, and installation plans.
• Monitor installation of electrical systems including substations, switchgear, transformers, power distribution, UPS, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, and ELV systems.
• Identify construction risks, technical issues, and schedule constraints and implement mitigation measures.

• Manage and supervise all electrical construction activities from installation through testing, commissioning, and handover.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead site coordination meetings, progress reviews, and contractor performance discussions.
• Collaborate with QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure adherence to project quality and safety standards.
• Review progress reports, construction status updates, variations, and contractor claims.
• Support testing, energization, commissioning, punch list closure, and final project handover.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical construction management on large-scale projects.
• Proven experience delivering Industrial, Semiconductor, Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, or High-Tech Facility projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices, installation standards, testing, and commissioning processes.
• Experience managing multiple contractors and stakeholders in complex construction environments.
