Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Executive to oversee plant EHS activities and ensure compliance with Malaysian regulations. The role covers safety inspections, risk assessments, audits, and environmental management, with a focus on continuous safety improvements.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field and 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, with knowledge of DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, and ISO 45001/14001.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Malaysian OSH legislation (DOSH/JKKP) and DOE/JAS requirements.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is advantageous.
• Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor overall EHS activities within the plant.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian EHS laws and regulatory requirements (DOSH, DOE, BOMBA).
• Conduct safety inspections, HIRARC/JSA, risk assessments and follow-up actions.
• Manage environmental matters including waste, chemical management, disposal and pollution prevention.
• Coordinate fire safety, emergency preparedness, drills and response activities.
• Conduct EHS induction, toolbox talks, safety training and awareness programs.
• Investigate accidents and near misses, identify root causes and monitor corrective actions.
• Coordinate internal, customer and regulatory EHS audits and inspections.
• Prepare EHS reports and monitor safety, environmental and compliance performance.
• Provide EHS advice to Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse and HR.
• Promote strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
