Job summary

Saint-Gobain Prima Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive EHS Executive to support implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives within our manufacturing operations in Malaysia. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, safety culture, and workplace safety excellence.

The successful candidate will assist the EHS Manager with implementation, enforcement, documentation, and liaison with local authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or professional certificate in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
• Trained in EHS issues such as legal, system and auditing.
• Enthusiasm and independent.
• Ability to carry out enforcement and has good communication & interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the EHS Manager in implementing and maintaining the EHS system.
• Coordinate with local authorities on EHS matters.
• Ensure compliance with EHS legislations and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, issue, and maintain EHS documents including manuals and procedures.
• Manage PPE and safety equipment and enforce EHS policies.
• Inspect, train, and brief employees, visitors, and contractors on EHS practices.
• Record and investigate accidents and incidents and track corrective actions.

Job description

We are seeking a proactive and committed EHS Executive to support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives within our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting a strong safety culture and driving workplace safety excellence.

Key responsibilities

Assist the EHS Manager in all aspects of implementation and maintenance of the EHS.

Assist the EHS Manager in dealing with local authorities in all matters related to EHS.

Assist the EHS Manager in ensuring compliance to EHS legislations.

Assist the EHS Manager in establish, develop, issue, maintenance, and improvement of all EHS documents including Manuals and procedures.

Control, manage and improve all related matters pertaining to personal protective equipment and safety equipment.

Carry out enforcement on EHS matters according to schedule.

Report, investigate and follow up all accidents and incidents as well as its corrective actions and maintaining the data.

Carry out inspections, line talks, training, briefings to employees, visitors, contractors, etc. as necessary.

Maintain EHS related information board.

Plan, implement, monitor, and report all relevant EHS improvement programs.

Requirements

Poses at least a bachelor's degree or professional certificate in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.

Trained in EHS issues such as legal, system and auditing.

Enthusiasm and independent.

Ability to carry out enforcement and has good communication & interpersonal skills.
