Job summary

A leading global coatings company is seeking a qualified professional to oversee Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related fields, along with experience in applied science or engineering. Responsibilities include tracking Scheduled Waste, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, training staff, and managing EHS programs. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach in maintaining safety standards and be ready to assist with regulatory requirements. This position is based in Klang City, Selangor, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related field required.
• Experience in EHS or related fields is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Track inventory of Scheduled Waste and ensure correct categorization.
• Maintain ESWIS submission and record updates.
• Arrange collection of Scheduled Waste.
• Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Train and supervise Scheduled Waste Operator.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Track inventory Scheduled Waste and ensure it is correctly categorized, label and weight.
• Maintain ESWIS submission and record updates
• Arrange for the collection of Scheduled Waste
• Ensure operation of Scheduled Waste complied to legal and company requirement
• Train and supervise Scheduled Waste Operator
• Administrating Coupa for Scheduled Waste
• Coordinate 5S initiatives for the plant
• Assist to maintain and coordinate EHS performance monitoring related company’s and legal requirement
• Monitor EHS Inspections carried out by other departments
• Prepared EHS related reports as required.
• Update on the Gemba Walk observations summary
• Assist on the Forklift merit demerit implementation
• Assist to maintain and coordinate contractor management
• Provide EHS orientation training for new foreign workers
• Monitor and maintain actions tracking in MIRA system
• Assist on maintaining ISO 14001
• Support and participate in other EHS programs and tasks

Education

Education Background: Bachelor's degree with Environmental or EHS related
