Job summary

People Profilers Pte Ltd is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer to manage and continuously improve the EHS system for our Malaysia operations in Penang. You will ensure regulatory compliance and drive a robust safety program across the site.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in OSH or related field and at least 2 years of OSH experience, with ISO 14001/45001 system exposure. SHO certification and auditor credentials are a plus, and a proactive approach to safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in OSH-related work, with ISO 14001/45001 systems experience.
• Certified Safety and Health Officer (SHO) is an added advantage.
• ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve the EHS Management System in accordance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and applicable local regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with DOSH, DOE, and other relevant statutory requirements.
• Conduct HIRARC, risk assessments, workplace inspections, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate CHRA, occupational health surveillance, and medical examination programs.
• Develop and maintain EHS documentation, records, and reports, as well as coordinate internal and external audits.
• Plan and conduct annual EHS training and competency development programs.
• Support environmental, occupational safety, and health initiatives to promote a safe and compliant workplace.
• Take an active role in emergency response and workplace safety improvement initiatives.
