Job summary

Gateway Search in Malaysia is seeking an experienced EHS Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace.

Responsibilities include leading ISO 9001/14001 and OHSAS 18001 processes, conducting risk assessments and audits, and delivering training to staff and management. Strong English communication, technical drawing literacy, and collaboration with project teams are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Environmental, Safety, or related engineering field.
• Min 3 years’ EHS management experience in industrial setting.
• Valid Registered Safety & Health Officer (Green Book).
• Strong knowledge of national EHS laws and standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in English for reporting.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Experience leading EHS system implementation and certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs in line with legal requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and audits.
• Lead ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 processes.
• Deliver EHS training to staff and management.
• Investigate incidents and prepare preventive reports.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate EHS considerations.
• Review drawings to ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain EHS records and reports compliant with regs.
• Utilize MS Office to create reports and trainings.
• Act as safety executive representative for Linergy property management.
• Complete tasks assigned by supervisors and FE managers.
