Job summary

Boston Scientific in Malaysia seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professional to lead site safety programs and regulatory compliance. You will develop hazard controls, participate in training, and coordinate with internal committees to ensure safe operations.

The role involves preparing records, supporting external inspections, and investigating incidents. A Bachelor’s in a relevant field and a green DOSH book are required, with 2–5 years of manufacturing EHS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in EHS or related field; green book (DOSH) is required.
• 2–5 years of experience as an EHS competent person in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is required/exposed.
• Experience in managing contractors during expansion or construction is an advantage.
• Ability to perform CHRA and HIRAC analyses.
• Ergonomic assessor competencies are required.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development of the site’s Safety Statement including hazard identification, risk assessment, and control programmes.
• Collaborates with Supervisors, Trainers and Technicians to identify and control significant EH&S impacts.
• Takes a central role in working with internal committees and training efforts.
• Ensures that all required records are prepared and maintained.
• Participates in and prepares for EHS inspections by external agencies and audits.
• Investigates and reports on injuries, ill-health, and corrective actions.

Contributes to the development the site’s Safety Statement to include hazard identification, hazard risk assessment, and hazard control programmes and participates in their implementation.

Works with Supervisors, Trainers and Technicians to identify and control significant environmental, health and safety impacts of operations.

Takes a central role in working with internal committees and training efforts.

Ensures that all required records are prepared and maintained.

Participates in and prepares for EHS inspections by external agencies, and all system audits.

Investigates, prepares, communicates and manages reports on injuries, ill-health, and corrective actions as required.

Supports and contributes to the site’s life safety programmes to include emergency response.

Understands and proactively follows through on the Environmental Management Procedures that have been identified as relevant to position.

Job Requirements:

Candidate required process at least Bachelor of degree in relevant field for EHS and should have a green book from DOSH.

At least 2-5years of working experience as EHS competent person in manufacturing.

Required to have knowledge / exposure to ISO 140001 and 45001.

Managing contractors during expansion and construction is an advantage.

Able to perform CHRA and HIRAC.

Ergonomic assessor.
