Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Environment Health and Safety Coordinator to oversee workplace safety, audits and environmental compliance in a manufacturing setting in Johor Bahru.

You will conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, coordinate emergency drills, monitor contractor safety, manage environmental reporting and regulatory submissions, and ensure DOE and wastewater requirements are met. A SHO with DOSH is preferred; Green Book eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH preferred.
• Green Book holder or eligible for Green Book registration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate emergency response activities, fire drills and safety campaigns.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and environmental compliance.
• Monitor environmental records, wastewater treatment and scheduled waste reporting.
