Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Registered Competent Person for Scheduled Waste with the DOE is preferred.
  • Safety and Health Officer (SHO) certification with DOSH is preferred.
  • Ergonomic Trained Person (DOSH) is preferred

  • Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies and procedures from construction through sustaining operations.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and liaise with regulatory agencies (DOE, DOSH, Fire and Rescue Department).
  • Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Perform EHS risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks in manufacturing and logistics.
  • Audit sites for compliance with corporate EHS standards and local laws.
  • Provide governance through inspections, incident investigations, and follow-up closures.
  • Coordinate EHS committee meetings and prepare timely reports.

The impact you’ll make

At Lam, as an EH&S Engineer, you're instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental safety programs and policies. Ensuring compliance with regulations, you'll perform safety inspections, conduct trainings, and oversee hazardous waste vendors and processes. Your expertise spans to life safety, workplace ergonomics, and monitoring industrial health compliance. Acting as a liaison with regulatory agencies you'll not only stay current but also reinforce Lam's commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

What you’ll do
  • Support the development, planning, and implementation of EHS policies and procedures from construction through sustaining operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS requirements and manage interactions with DOE, DOSH, the Fire and Rescue Department, and other relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure scheduled waste management is conducted in compliance with DOE requirements.
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors in areas such as ergonomics, hazardous material handling, fall protection, control of hazardous energy, emergency response, and other identified compliance training needs.
  • Conduct proactive EHS risk assessments and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented to mitigate identified risks in manufacturing and logistics activities.
  • Audit construction sites to ensure activities are conducted in compliance with corporate EHS standards and applicable local legal requirements.
  • Provide governance through routine EHS compliance inspections, incident investigations, and follow-through to final closure.
  • Facilitate effective accident prevention programs and EHS promotional activities.
  • Establish, review, and update environmental, safety, and health procedures.
  • Facilitate emergency preparedness and response programs, including organizing Emergency Response Team (ERT) training and periodic emergency drills.
  • Support EHS programs for Global Workplace Solutions and Logistics based on business requirements, including establishing and implementing material handling equipment training and certification.
  • Coordinate EHS Committee meetings, prepare reports in a timely manner, and follow up on the closure of EHS concerns raised.
  • Coordinate EHS performance reviews with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports in a timely manner.
  • Perform other EHS duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Who we’re looking for
  • 10–15 years of working experience in the EHS field within manufacturing and warehouse environments.
  • Experience supporting start-up operations, plant expansion, contractor safety, warehouse safety, and facilities safety.
  • Well-versed in hazardous energy control, equipment safety, material handling equipment safety, and ergonomic risk assessment and controls.
Preferred qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.

  • Registered Competent Person for Scheduled Waste with the Department of Environment (DOE) is preferred.
  • Safety and Health Officer (SHO) certification registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) is preferred.
  • Ergonomic Trained Person (DOSH) is preferred
