Job summary

Agilent Technologies Malaysia seeks a data-driven engineer to develop and maintain the ECO process and coordinate engineering changes across production and procurement. You will guarantee data integrity of material master records in ERP systems and structure BOMs for new product introductions.

You will support NPI activities, CPL release/obsolescence, and drive PDM improvements for ISO 9001/13485 compliance while collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, and marketing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
• 1-3 years of Engineering data management experience.
• Experience in Engineering change management in a complex manufacturing environment.
• In-depth understanding of product design, BOM structures, and configuration management principles.
• Proficiency with PLM and ERP systems; SAP ECC experience (≥2 years).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the industry.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Experience with change management methodologies and practices.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to work with diverse international teams.
• Fluent in spoken and written Chinese.
• Self-disciplined, proactive and outgoing personality.
• Strong data analytical skills.
• Programming / scripting or RPA skills (VBA, SAP scripting, Python) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process and coordinate engineering changes.
• Interface with Production, Procurement, and other functions for data integrity of material master records across ERP systems.
• Structure/setup BOM for New Product Introduction and release/maintain documents and drawings.
• Support parts setup and release for new products.
• Assist NPI by driving product life cycle discipline and monitoring manufacturing deliverables.
• Support CPL release and obsolescence for product launches and retirement.
• Drive innovation and optimization of Product Data Management (PDM) processes for ISO9K / ISO13485 compliance.
• Lead projects representing Product Data Management and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Analyze and lead continuous improvement initiatives and problem prevention with internal customers.
• Work on business system/process assignments with broadly defined objectives.
• Improve operation efficiency to meet KPIs like ECO turnaround times and first pass rate.
