Job summary
Jora Malaysia seeks a Junior IBM ACE / IIB Developer to support design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise integration solutions. The role focuses on IBM ACE, IBM IIB, IBM MQ, APIs, and middleware to enable seamless communication between internal and external applications.
The incumbent will work under the guidance of senior developers and collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and support teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure integration solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.
- Up to 3 years of software/middleware/API development experience.
- Fresh graduates may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior developers in design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of integration applications.
- Develop and maintain message flows and integration services using IBM ACE / IBM IIB.
- Create, modify, and optimize ESQL mappings and message transformations.
- Develop and support REST APIs and backend integrations.
- Test and troubleshoot integration interfaces and perform defect resolution.

The Junior IBM ACE / IIB Developer is responsible for supporting the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise integration solutions for Client operations and business systems. The role focuses on developing integration services using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM MQ, APIs, and middleware technologies to enable seamless communication between internal and external applications.
The incumbent will work under the guidance of senior developers and collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and support teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure integration solutions.
- Assist senior developers in the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of integration applications.
- Develop and maintain message flows and integration services using IBM ACE / IBM IIB.
- Create, modify, and optimize ESQL mappings and message transformations.
- Implement integration solutions based on business and technical requirements.
- Develop and support REST APIs and backend integrations.
- Develop and maintain message-based integrations using IBM MQ.
- Configure and support queue-based communication between enterprise systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot messaging issues and queue failures.
- Work with integration technologies and formats including:
- REST APIs
- SOAP Web Services
- XML
- JSON
- Support integration between applications, third-party systems, and enterprise platforms.
- Assist in API development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Perform unit testing and integration testing of developed solutions.
- Validate integration interfaces and message transformations.
- Support defect identification, troubleshooting, and resolution.
- Ensure solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
- Analyze application and middleware logs.Troubleshoot integration failures, performance issues, and system errors.
- Support production incident resolution activities.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Support deployment and release activities across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, and deployment documents.
- Follow development standards, coding guidelines, security policies, and integration best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of changes and implementations.
