Job summary

Nigel Frank International is working with a growing Microsoft-focused digital consulting business strengthening its Business Central delivery capability in Malaysia. We are seeking a mid-level BC Functional Consultant to bridge customer needs and BC solutions across ANZ projects, with remote work from Malaysia.

You will lead client workshops, translate processes into BC requirements, support configurations and UAT, and collaborate with senior consultants.

We're working with a growing Microsoft-focused digital consulting business that is strengthening its Business Central delivery capability in Malaysia.

The team supports customers across ANZ and they're looking to bring in a mid-level BC Functional Consultant as part of that growing delivery capability.

What makes this opportunity interesting is the direction of the practice. Business Central consulting is increasingly moving beyond simply configuring an ERP consultants who understand how businesses actually operate across supply chain, manufacturing, warehouse and operations are becoming increasingly valuable.

This is an opportunity to join while the Malaysia-based ANZ delivery capability is being built.

What we're looking for:

We're looking for a functional first BC consultant who is comfortable being the person between the customer and the technology.

You'll be expected to:

• Lead and own client facing functional workshops
• Understand business processes and translate them into BC requirements
• Support BC implementations across requirements, configuration, testing and UAT
• Work directly with customers and stakeholders
• Support post-go-live issues when required
• Work alongside senior consultants and solution architects
• Manage functional responsibilities across multiple projects

You won't be expected to operate at Solution Architect level and the senior solutioning capability is already within the team.

The priority is finding someone who can understand the business, ask the right questions and own the functional delivery.

Candidate profile

We're open to different backgrounds, provided you have strong BC functional capability.

You could be:

• A BC Partner Consultant with implementation experience and a desire for greater client ownership.
• An End-User / Business Applications Consultant with strong BC knowledge and deeper understanding of operational business processes.
• A Manufacturing / WMS / Supply Chain professional who has moved into BC and understands the operational processes behind the ERP.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Hands-on Dynamics 365 Business Central experience
• Functional implementation experience
• Strong workshop and stakeholder management skills
• Experience across WMS, manufacturing, warehouse, supply chain or operations
• Good understanding of wider business processes
• Reasonable finance knowledge but you don't need to be a finance specialist
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with senior consultants

Importantly, quality of experience matters more than the number of BC projects on your CV.

Someone who has delivered fewer implementations but genuinely understands business processes can be just as relevant if not more so than someone who has simply accumulated project volume.
