Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to welcome customers, answer product questions, and process purchases. The role requires 1–2 years of experience in retail or customer service and the ability to communicate in English and Mandarin to assist Mandarin-speaking customers.

You will maintain attractive product displays, support daily sales targets, handle cashier duties, stock replenishment, and ensure a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM, Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
• 1–2 years of experience in retail sales, customer service, or related field.
• Able to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin to assist Mandarin-speaking customers.
• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Sales-driven with a positive attitude towards achieving targets.
• Experience in cashiering, stock handling, or retail operations is an advantage.
• Previous experience in the retail industry will be an added advantage.
• Willing to work retail hours, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers with product enquiries, recommendations, and purchases.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Introduce products, promotions, and ongoing campaigns to customers.
• Support the team in achieving daily and monthly store sales targets.
• Process payments and handle cashier transactions accurately.
• Replenish stock and ensure products are properly organised and displayed.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and managing incoming stock.
• Maintain attractive product displays according to brand guidelines.
• Build good relationships with customers and encourage repeat purchases.
• Maintain store cleanliness and support smooth day-to-day store operations.
